The Audi Ritz Style Awards | Shruti Haasan, Jayam Ravi, Vijay Sethupathi

The Audi Ritz Style Awards powered by Bols at ITC Grand Chola on February 19, 2016 was a glamorous, glitzy affair and a stupendous success with the guest list comprising the city’s elusive elite and the movers and shakers. The Awards which were presented by renowned German carmaker Audi and Powered by Bols, are an initiative of RITZ, South India’s Premier Lifestyle Magazine run by Aruna R Krishnan

The diverse mix of high profile Award winners included Industrialist Sriya Chari of Rajsriya Industries, Swathy Rohit of Premier Mills in Coimbatore, Archana Kalpathi of AGS Cinemas, who is also the producer of Thani Oruvan, one of the biggest blockbusters of 2015, Gopi Shetty, CEO of the renowned GK Shetty Builders, Amit Mahtaney of Ambattur Developers and Park Hyatt Hotel Chennai, Girish Mathrubootham of Fresh Desk, one of the most talked about and watched tech CEOs today, Dr Ashvin Agarwal of Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospitals, who is also one of the most successful ophthalmologists, Vignesh Shivan, director of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, another huge hit of 2015, businessman TT Varadarajan who also runs the California Superbike School, as well as actors Shruti Haasan, Jayam Ravi and Vijay Sethupathi.

The event witnessed many profound moments including when Vijay Sethupathi spoke of how he was the first one to discover himself as an actor, while Jayam Ravi spoke fondly of how much Awards motivated him to better his best. Girish Mathrubootham of Fresh Desk spoke of his small town roots and how he transformed a 6-employee strong startup into a world class technology services firm, while Dr Ashvin Agarwal spoke of how his father always motivated him to stay 10 years ahead of his time at work. Amit Mahtaney spoke of how he masterfully uses his background in theatre to run his businesses.
