KADHAL KAN KATTUDHE – Movie Review

STORY :-

‘Pravin’ and ‘Athulya’ are friends from college days . ‘Pravin’ works as a sales executive in Coimbatore while ‘Athulya’ works as a reporter in a press company at Pollachi . They both love each other and what happens in the progression of their life is the remaining part of the movie .

POSITIVES :-

Pravin’s acting was decent and he did well as a simple youngster. ‘Athulya’ also convinces with her debut performance as a cute girl . Director Shivaraj’s dialogues were good and apt for the situation . Scenes between ‘Pravin’ and his friends were enjoyable. And sequences between the lead pair were meaningful towards the end. Pavan’s songs were quite pleasant which has gained lot of strength from the singers. His background music was also fine with some melody tunes . Editing somewhat helped the movie well as the duration was less than 2hrs. Few characters were made impactful.

NEGATIVES :-

Shivaraj’s story is very simple with easily predictable moments and old stuff . His screenplay was cheesy at moments and few scenes between the lead pair were stressful to watch out . His direction could have been a lot more better as few scenes were actually nice in written format but the execution lets it down. Shivaraj’s cinematography was too bright and even disturbs the eye at times. Make-up to the heroine was too much which is evident in almost every frame. Few over-cinematic portions could have been avoided. Also the songs could have been a little less in count.

VERDICT :-

 Unknown cast performs well in this partially likeable simple love story .
